A Legacy That Grew from the Ground Up

Hess Trees began more than 30 years ago in California, rooted in the specialized supply of high-caliber specimen trees for luxury landscapes and premier developments. What began as a focused sourcing operation evolved into one of the most technically capable large-tree firms in the industry.

For more than two decades, Hess Trees executed complex large-scale tree relocation projects across challenging terrain and high-profile developments. From steep hillsides to dense urban infill sites, our relocation work demanded engineering precision, specialized equipment, logistical discipline, and deep horticultural understanding. That period of execution defined our reputation for solving problems others considered impossible.

As our portfolio expanded beyond state lines and into international markets, so did the scale and technical complexity of the projects we handled. Today, Hess Trees operates as an international consulting authority, drawing on decades of hands-on tree relocation and field execution experience to advise on high-profile developments around the world. We provide developers, architects, golf course designers, and estate owners with strategic insight rooted in real-world performance.

Through every phase of our evolution—from specimen supply to large-scale relocation to strategic advisory—our commitment has remained constant: precision, accountability, and respect for living systems.

This isn’t just our business. It’s our legacy—and we continue to build on it every day.
